League Settings
A breakdown of every setting and what it does. All settings are under Admin → League Settings.
League Name
The name displayed in the navigation bar and throughout the app. You can change it at any time — it has no effect on billing or your players' accounts.
Admin Is a Player
When checked, you participate in the pool as a regular player — your picks appear in the standings and you win and lose points like everyone else. When unchecked, you manage the league without competing. Useful if you want to be a neutral commissioner.
Picks & Rules
Tiebreaker
When two or more players tie with the same number of correct picks in a week, the tiebreaker decides who wins the pot. Each week includes a designated tiebreaker game where players predict the final score — this prediction is only used if there's a tie.
- Standard: whoever picked the correct winning team goes first; if still tied, the player whose score prediction is closest wins — but guessing under the actual total beats guessing over by the same amount. Think Price Is Right rules.
- Advanced: same team-first step, then purely closest score wins in either direction. Over and under are treated equally; under only breaks a dead-even tie.
- None: tied players split the pot equally. No tiebreaker game is used.

Pick Deadline
Picks are organized into day groups — Thursday, Saturday, and a Sunday/Monday group. Each group locks 1 hour before its earliest kickoff. Thursday Night Football always has its own deadline, and Saturday games (when scheduled) always have their own deadline. This setting controls only how Sunday and Monday Night Football are handled:
Note: with the Sunday setting, players must pick the Monday Night game at the same time as Sunday's games — before they've seen any Sunday scores. Most leagues use Sunday for its simplicity.
Pick Visibility
Controls when players can see each other's picks — a strategic setting that changes how competitive the pool feels.
- Open: all submitted picks are visible to everyone immediately. Great for casual pools where trash talk starts early.
- Submit first: you can't see anyone else's picks until you've submitted your own. Once you submit, your picks are locked for the week — no going back. Prevents peeking.
- Hidden until kickoff: nobody can see anybody's picks until the week's first game starts. The most competitive option — keeps everyone honest.
Scoring Costs
This is how the pool's wagering works. Each week, players stake a set number of points on their picks. Pick correctly and you win points from the pot; pick wrong and you lose them. These settings control how many points are at stake for each type of game.
- Regular season week: the stake for each regular season week (default: 15 points).
- Wild Card game: stake for each Wild Card round game (default: 3 points).
- Divisional game: stake for each Divisional round game (default: 5 points).
- Championship game: stake for each Conference Championship game (default: 10 points).
- The Big Game: stake for the Super Bowl (default: 25 points).
Playoff games are typically worth more to reflect their higher stakes — a wrong pick hurts more, and a right one pays more. You can set any values your group agrees on.
Entry Mode
Determines who contributes to the weekly pot — and therefore who competes for it.
- Season commitment: every player is charged their stake every week, whether they submit picks or not. If you forget to pick, you still lose points — and the winners share your stake. This keeps the full pot intact every week and creates pressure to play consistently.
- Week-by-week: only players who submit picks that week enter the pot and compete for it. Skip a week and nothing happens — you just miss out. The pot is smaller in low-participation weeks, but there's no penalty for sitting out.
Invite Link Expiry
When you send a player an invitation, they receive a link to join the league. This setting controls how many days that link stays valid (1–30 days, default 7). After it expires, you'll need to resend the invitation from the Invitations page to generate a fresh link.
Season Prize
In addition to winning individual weeks, you can add a season-long prize for whoever has the best overall record when the season ends. This is separate from weekly pot winnings — it's a bonus pot that builds up all season and pays out at the end.
Season Prize
- Disabled: no season prize, just weekly pots.
- Regular season only: only regular-season picks count toward the season prize record. Playoff picks don't affect who wins the season prize.
- Full season: picks from both the regular season and playoffs count toward the season prize record.
Prize Per Player (points)
How many points each player contributes to the season prize pot. This is separate from the weekly stake — it's a flat amount set aside at the start of the season. At season's end, whoever wins the season prize takes the whole pot.
Best Record By
How the season prize winner is determined:
- Most correct picks: whoever picked the most games correctly in total. In a season-commitment league, everyone plays every week so this is straightforward. In a week-by-week league, players who opt in more often have an advantage — they have more opportunities to rack up correct picks.
- Best accuracy: correct picks ÷ total picks attempted. Levels the field for week-by-week leagues — a player who played fewer weeks but picked at a higher rate can still win.
League Logo
Upload a custom image to brand your league. Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP — max 2 MB. Once uploaded, you can choose whether to display it alongside the league name in the navigation bar or in place of it (the logo becomes the full identity).
